LifeCheckIQ is a free service, made possible in part by advertising. This page explains how advertising works on our site and, most importantly, how we keep it separate from our editorial content.

How we use advertising

LifeCheckIQ displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google's advertising network places ads on our pages, and we earn a share of the resulting revenue. This helps us keep every tool, calculator and article on LifeCheckIQ free to use, with no subscription or paywall.

At present, our advertising is limited to display advertising served through Google AdSense. If this changes in the future — for example, if we begin using affiliate or sponsored links — we will update this page to disclose it clearly.

Editorial independence

Advertising never influences what we write, what our tools calculate, or what medical guidance we present. Our content is researched, written and reviewed according to the process described in our Editorial Standards and Medical Review Process — a process that has no connection to which advertisers appear on a given page. No advertiser has ever reviewed, approved or influenced the content of any article, calculator or result on LifeCheckIQ, and none ever will.

Ad personalisation and cookies

Google may use cookies to show ads that are more relevant to you, based on your visits to LifeCheckIQ and other sites. You can control this through Google's own ad settings, and read more about the specific cookies involved, in our Cookie Policy.

Our current advertising partner

Google AdSense is currently our only advertising partner. We do not accept direct advertiser placements, sponsored articles, or pay-for-inclusion arrangements of any kind.
